BH, I got pregnant with twins. It was a huge surprise! After a few weeks, we found out they were identical twins, and the doctor said that was a more high-risk pregnancy. At 11 weeks, I took a scan where they saw one of the babies had more nuchal fluid. This was scary because they were supposed to be identical and should have the same situation, but also it could be a situation of, God forbid, a genetic disorder or an early sign of twin-to-twin transfusion, which basically means that one twin is taking more from the placenta than the other, a dangerous situation that would need surgery. Or the doctor said it could mean absolutely nothing. They advised me to take an amniocentesis, but after going to another doctor to repeat the scan and thinking it over and speaking to my Rabbi, I decided not to do the test and would accept and love whatever Hashem gave me. At the time, I was super scared and was really, really very anxious and praying for a miracle. I opened my Instagram, and literally that day I saw something called Pray for Another. I was thinking, what perfect timing! I signed up and got the name of a girl who had my name in reverse, for example Sarah bat Leah, which would actually end up being the name of one of my daughters! I had chills. I really felt like Hashem was showing me it was going to all be okay. I kept having scary things come up in my pregnancy. One week I needed an echocardiogram, which turned out to be normal. Another week was a borderline imbalance of fluid, which cleared up a few days later. Another visit, they saw one of my twins was very, very small. It was so scary, but I just kept praying, and BH each time things got slightly better. Eventually I had my twins, BH, early, and they needed time in the NICU. A new round of Pray for Another started, and I signed up again, this time for success for my children. Again I kept praying, and BH after 43 and 49 days, my babies came home! I’m so grateful to those who prayed for me, and I hope my prayers helped them as well!
